Prayer Partners:
Are you looking for a way to serve at Grace and don’t know where you could? We have just the thing for you that will only take about 5 minutes per month. Spirituality Team is looking to start a new ministry involving people that will pray for members who are serving in worship each week. Jesus sent his disciples out two by two, so this is the model that we are using. Of course more are welcome, but we wish to have at least two people commit to coming 15-20 minutes before any given service and say a prayer over the people who are serving in that particular service, and to say a prayer for the congregation at that service. (It will not be done as part of the service, so don’t panic!) We are just asking that a pair of prayers would come and pray in the hall before service starts. We are hoping to get enough participation that you would serve just once a month at one service. It would be for the service that you are used to going to, or if you are an 8:30 worshipper and you wait for your Sunday school students, you could pray for the 10:45 folks before you leave. If you feel that you could serve our congregation in this way, please contact Tammy Hansing at 815-338-5387 and/or sign up in the black activity binder under the heading of Prayer Partners. We hope to get this ministry up and running soon. Please prayerfully consider it and respond.
