Mistletoe Magic 08' Cancelled

"Sharing God's Grace"...raising funds to support local Social Ministry needs.

Dear Members of Grace,
"Sharing God's Grace" and raising funds for Charity needs has been the motivation behind Mistletoe Magic for these past 25 years.  The co-chairs, Judy Reilly, Borgie Stenoien and Erma Gibson and myself have agonized these past six month about the possibility of canceling because of the "beam" situation, and the obvious lack of appropriate space.   The time has come for that decision.  We will cancel MM 08'
and move forward with the plans for MM 09' setting our sights even higher than before.

We appreciate what a tremendous disappointment this will be to you all on so many levels.  Firstly, the funds it has generated these past four years...$15,000. and distributing $12,000 to charities. We've transformed  Mistletoe Magic from a women's thing into a multi generational and all inclusive congregation event actively involving over 250 persons a year.  We share God's Grace through Evangelism, Fellowship, Stewardship, hospitality, renewed friendships and the sharing of a meal.   These gifts do not begin and end with Mistletoe Magic.  We begin again, in February 09'.  Think about how you could become involved and make a difference.  We are all a part of the body, and each has a responsibility to share the gifts you've been given.

In Christ,
Cathy Meyer

Fun and Wonderful Gifts for the Whole Family

Our annual Holiday Craft fair will be held Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 in Luther Hall from 9 AM to 3PM. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000. which will be divided between three local charrities. Those served are; Turning Point, WACM (Woodstock Area Community Ministry) and the Wednesday night PADS site.

Mistletoe Magic is unique in that we don't rent out space to venders to sell their crafts, but all items we sell are handcrafted by our own members and artists.

Wonderful wooden items such as inlaid cutting boards, band saw boxes and beautiful holiday decor will not disappoint our shoppers. Our Grace Knitters have been busy using the latest yarns and newest ideas to craft original wearable art and wonderful gift items for all. Something new this year is our beautiful crafted bead jewelry and stamped note cards and gift tags.

Granny's attic will sell antique and collectible items and donations of the same will be welcome. Our Bake Sale and Farmer's Market will please the senses and our wonderfully successful cookie walk has a room all it's own. Ever popular are the American Girl Doll clothes and holiday decorations, including ornaments and wonderful floral arrangements.

A Global Fair Trade Market presents fair-trade coffee, tea, chocolate, and unique craft and gift items from around the world. Granny’s Attic selection of beautiful collectibles and antiques tops off the event.

Come sit a spell at the Coffee Nook. Join us for our wonderful Luncheon in Grace Center, and listen to Ron Fredriksen play the piano, like you've never heard before. You will experience a wonderful day of Sharing God's Grace....at Grace.
